Unwanted old match programmes
I'm having a bit of a clear out and have a load of programmes mainly from the 90s I want to get shot of.

I'm happy to let someone one here to take them off of me for nothing if they are willing to collect them from Woodford.

Otherwise will charity shops take them? It seems a shame to bin them.

Re: Unwanted old match programmes
That's impressive Terry.
I have a lot but not that many dating back that far. Got all homes from the 70s bar one, many from the 80s, quite a few from the 60s and about 20 odd from the 50s. A box full of always from all eras back to the 50s. Have all the semis and finals and cup runs bar the white horse final. Got 3 club handbooks from the 30s and had the 33 FA cup semi v Everton at Molinuex that I sold for £1500 five years ago as I needed the cash.

I am one of the more serious collectors. I have all but 15 home programmes back to the end of the war.

As some have mentioned most "recent" programmes are worth very little, including most of the ones mentioned on here.

Go check Ebay, you can pick up virtually everything.

The rarest of the last couple of years was the first Europa match against Lusitans last season, that will cost you about £60.

The money is tied up in the rare/postponed programmes. The original tie against Aldershot in 2011 will cost you £300+ if you have the Aston Villa postponed from 1966 you have hit the jackpot.

If you have the room, wrap them up and put them away, give them to the grand kids one day.

Ive got one from the nineties when we played Aldershot in the FA Cup and reversed the fixture to home.

Re: Unwanted old match programmes
There are only four West Ham programmes from the 90's worth worrying about keeping (unless you put them into storage for about 50 years and maybe they may have a small value then...)

Both the Bobby Moore testimonial matches.

The Bond scheme programme

That poxy Zenith Data systems game v Plymouth (which I think was actually end of the 80's).

Cost of postage v rarity of programmes has meant that values now have plummeted.

Even the 2 x postponements we've had in recent years arent worth anything as a collector.

Re: Unwanted old match programmes
Got a programme Friday for a front wheel 'acquaintance' shall we say, first programme I've bought in at least 10 years, and was quite surprised at it being cheaper than I thought and mention the fact to the seller, only for some wag walking past to say "You sure you're West Ham, Mate?" Didn't tell him who I was getting it for.

I have a big collection of WHU Progs and memorabilia.dating back to the 30s. The 90s league games are not worth much at all unless it was a rarity for whatever reason.
